A new space at the Jewish Cemetery in Via di Caciolle
The project to build a new section within the Caciolle cemetery was partly financed through contributions from individuals for the allocation of places for future burials.
The work resulted in the construction of the new section not only through the work of land reclamation and redistribution, but also through the construction of the distribution paths bordered by concrete curbs and the redesign of the sewage drains for the entire area.
With this lot, the capacity of the Caciolle cemetery, which was built starting in 1881 and designed by Architect Marco Treves and has hosted the burials of the Florentine keillah for more than 100 years, is at full capacity.
This campaign was a true gesture of solidarity because it allowed the Community not to divert valuable resources from projects already in place, or in the process of being started, and aimed at improving the community’s well-being.
