A Journey Through Jewish Art, History, and Tradition

The Synagogue and Jewish Museum of Florence, in collaboration with Opera Laboratori, present a new series of themed guided tours dedicated to exploring the history and culture of Jewish Florence.
From November 2, 2025, to January 25, 2026, fourteen events will lead visitors on a journey through art, architecture, and spirituality, including special access to the Monumental Jewish Cemetery of Porta San Frediano, exceptionally open for the occasion.
The general tours (November 2, 16, and 30; December 8 and 21; January 4 and 18, at 11 a.m.) will offer a comprehensive overview of the Synagogue and Jewish Museum, from the construction of the temple to the life of the community from the ghetto period to the post-war years.

- The Sefer Torah: Writing and Tradition (December 7)
- Chanukkah and the Miracle of Light (December 14)
- The Moorish Style of the Florence Synagogue (December 28)

- The Besamim Holder: The Fragrance of the Sabbath (January 25)
The tours, led by specialized guides, will be held in small groups (maximum 30 participants) to ensure an intimate and engaging experience.
